Partnership highlight: JOBLINGE and Steelcase jointly design innovative and modern learning spaces

Since the opening of the first basecamp in Frankfurt in 2020, a joint design concept has been developed to make the basecamps modern places to learn and work. Since then, the concept has been implemented in the other basecamps in Essen, Berlin, Mannheim and most recently in Munich. The partnership creates spaces that specifically support young people on their path to training and a career. Steelcase is a global leader in innovative furniture and space concepts, specializing in the design of functional and inspiring learning and working environments. Through research and design, Steelcase creates spaces that foster collaboration, a sense of belonging and personal growth. More than 2000 participants have been accompanied in our basecamps since the beginning and have benefited from the modern ambience.

At the opening of basecamp Munich, Dewi Schönbeck, VP Sales for the German-speaking region, presented the concept and the guests were able to experience it directly in interactive formats.

Why design is so important

The basecamp is more than just a place for training. It was developed with the aim of creating an environment in which trainees can develop not only their technical skills, but also their social skills. The design concept developed meets the specific needs of the participants, as it was created through years of collaboration and experience with trainees. The space in which learning and work takes place has a decisive influence on the success of the participants. Through room observations, workshops with trainers and trainees and a comprehensive cultural and spatial analysis, Steelcase developed a design that reflects the values of the basecamp and serves as a foundation for success. The design plays a key role in creating an atmosphere in which the young people can develop their full potential. The modern, functional design not only supports learning, but also promotes exchange and personal growth. In addition, the basecamp is a place of appreciation and creates a sense of belonging.

The partnership with Steelcase has proven to be extremely successful and will continue to play an important role in providing young people with the best conditions for their professional development through inspiring spaces in further planned basecamps. We thank you for the trusting and effective cooperation!
