About us

The fight against youth unemployment and the opportunity to make a difference in society is close to the hearts of all JOBLINGE employees. This is why we give everything for our participants.

Since 2008, we have been proving how scalable, measurable, transparent and sustainable work in the transition system works. With a strong network in the industry, rooted in the region through non-profit stock corporations. “Placement” is JOBLINGE’s core business.

17,000 young people have already taken part in our program, 80 percent of whom make the leap into working life with our support, often after years of unemployment and lack of prospects. During the maximum six months of the JOBLINGE program, participants learn important social and job skills in group projects, receive guidance on their own strengths and suitable professions before gaining practical experience in JOBLINGE partner companies.

We receive support from 2,700 volunteer mentors and more than 2,400 partner companies at our more than 30 locations throughout Germany with almost 300 colleagues.

JOBLINGE was initiated by the Boston Consulting Group and the Eberhard von Kuenheim Foundation of BMW AG (now the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt) to solve a specific problem: To tackle the skills gap identified back in 2008 with business expertise and entrepreneurial self-image and to prove that social work can be highly effective and successful with the appropriate complementary tools. Our first study “Young people on standby” underpins our expertise and provides an insight into what prevents young people from taking the step into training. Click here for the study.

PARTNER Public sector

Our work is based on three pillars: Activation with PLAN A, placement with our JOBLINGE program and support with our basecamps.

PLAN A and activation means that we approach young people directly in the street and with social media campaigns, the JOBLINGE program includes preparation and placement into apprenticeships, and we support young adults during their apprenticeship in our basecamps. This means that they can learn additional skills and exchange ideas with other trainees, alumni or company representatives.

Together, the pillars complement and complete each other and form the ideal support for young people on their way into training. None of this would be possible without our strong partners in the public sector, thousands of voluntary supporters and multipliers and our close network in the industry.

The skills gap is there, the shortage of skilled workers is acute depending on the industry, and commercial enterprises are therefore breaking new ground with us in the acquisition of future skilled workers.
