A strong network partnership for social impact – AmCham Germany and JOBLINGE

Network partners support JOBLINGE strategically – through contacts, expertise and visibility. The focus is on joint social impact. Collaboration can take the form of joint events, pro bono engagement or access to networks, for example. To kick off the new partnership between the American Chamber of Commerce in Germany (AmCham Germany), Thomas Henneberg, Head of Strategic Partnerships, Regional Coordination & Events, gave a keynote speech with an international perspective at the Social Impact Summit 2025 – on the value of strong alliances in times of global challenges. For this newsletter, we have taken this as a starting point and expanded on the conversation with Mr. Henneberg for you:

Mr. Henneberg, why do we need strong alliances between business, politics and civil society today?

“Our times are characterized by profound upheavals – geopolitically, technologically and socially. No company or organization can face these developments alone. Today, real impact comes from strategic partnerships that not only add strengths, but multiply them.”

What makes an alliance successful in your view?

“Three things are crucial: firstly, there needs to be a common goal – not a loose alliance of convenience, but a clear “what for”. Secondly, complementary skills – good alliances are diverse. Not all partners have to be able to do the same thing. Diversity is a valuable asset. And thirdly: sustainable structures. Impact takes time. That’s why alliances should not just be based on short-term events, but on long-term cooperation.”

What role does the new partnership between AmCham Germany and JOBLINGE play in this?

“We contribute our networks, and JOBLINGE contributes its many years of practical experience in helping young people into the job market. Together, we can show companies concrete ways to counter the shortage of skilled workers and take on social responsibility at the same time. Events such as the Social Impact Summit help to make such collaborations visible and attract new partners.”

What specific advice would you like to give companies?

“Ask yourself three questions: What social challenge affects my core business? With whom can I achieve more together – even across industry boundaries? And am I prepared to contribute resources in the long term? If you can answer yes to these questions, you have already taken the first step towards achieving your goal.”

JOBLINGE Impact Area – the PLAN A numbers!

PLAN A has been impressively successful – several thousand young people have already registered since 2023! But what’s behind these figures? Here we explain how PLAN A reaches young people who would otherwise fall through the cracks and the role our innovative approach plays in this. 5.000 young people registered with PLAN A since 2023! More and more young people have no training and are increasingly difficult to reach. Around 628,000 young people are not in education, training or employment and remain lost in the school-to-work transition as they are difficult for the system to reach (so-called NEETs). However, PLAN A addresses young people where they actually are – on the street or on social media. Because at JOBLINGE, our primary goal is to help as many young people as possible into training and the world of work in the long term. To achieve this goal, we take various approaches
