The craft and finding individual solutions for all patients – that’s what makes Tom Deisenrieder’s job so special.
Various internships have shown him the way.
Tom is one of ten JOBLINGE alumni we are presenting on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of JOBLINGE gAG Leipzig.
“The path to my training as an orthopaedic shoemaker was characterized by a lot of uncertainty, as I had no concrete ideas about specific professions or working life in general.
After a few internships in various companies, including a commercial kitchen, I knew what was important to me when choosing an apprenticeship: Customer contact, regular working hours – and I want to make something by hand.
Today, I am a trained orthopaedic shoemaker and I really enjoy the craft of working with both the machines and the tools.
For each patient, I have to think individually about how best to help him or her.
Why should you do an apprenticeship?
It simply gives you a much better chance of finding work in a company!
Apprenticeships make you more independent and conscientious.”
