For the second time, the board of the EDEKA Rhein-Ruhr Future Foundation – represented by EDEKA merchants Heinz Hövener and Manfred Burkowski – handed over the donation check for 24,000 euros to Raphael Karrasch, Managing Director of JOBLINGE gAG Ruhr.
The need for such support is particularly great for single mothers, says Raphael Karrasch: “With the support of the EDEKA Rhein-Ruhr Future Foundation, we can proactively encourage young mothers and fathers to shape their own professional future.
This has a twofold socio-political effect: the professional and social participation of parents also significantly reduces the risk of children growing up in poverty.
Everyone is talking about the shortage of skilled workers, but many people who want to work are not yet receiving sufficient support in Germany.
Young mothers in particular therefore need offers that are tailored to their family and enable them to start their professional future.”
