More than 5,000 young players train and learn at German youth academies. But only around ten percent make the leap into professional soccer. And even for them, not everything is always certain. So how can professional prospects be broadened alongside training in the academies – and thus secure the future of young players?

How Steilpass works
After an introductory workshop with the youth squads, JOBLINGE supports the players individually in close cooperation with the youth performance centers:
01
Career orientation
in career guidance – as a second pillar alongside sport
02
Apprenticeship
in the search for an apprenticeship
03
Internships
in the placement of internships
04
Change of apprenticeship
when changing apprenticship
We also identify part-time opportunities to combine training with education and discuss the requirements of competitive sport with potential training companies.
On request, our mentors will accompany the young players on their way into the job.
We also offer support during training: from tutoring, seminars and workshops to mediation discussions.
What is said about us
Quotes
"The JOBLINGE team has been supporting us for years with internship and apprenticeship placements for our U19 players.
The cooperation is characterized by a trusting and goal-oriented way of working, which I can only recommend to every NLZ."
"My absolute dream job is to be a professional footballer. At the same time, however, I also want to have a plan to fall back on, i.e. complete an apprenticeship. JOBLINGE has supported me on this path: I was able to gain a lot of practical experience, always in line with my goal of becoming a professional soccer player."
"In JOBLINGE's STEM focus, participants not only receive practical career orientation and are thus sensitized to scientific and technical professions, but they also learn something about their skills, behavior and strengths in a team through observation and the reflection discussion with JOBLINGE.
However, they are also made aware of weaknesses in their behavior, motor skills or appearance that they need to work on."
